Website & online shop terms
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms explain how our website and online shop work, including ordering, payment, delivery and returns.
Quince is home to Quince Bakery and Clementine, two neighbourhood places on New North Road in Islington, London.
Both are run by Quince Bakery Ltd (company number 14639779, registered in England and Wales), with its registered office at 267 New North Road, London N1 7AA.
If you have any questions about these terms or an order, email us at hello@quincebakery.co.uk.
See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for how we use your information.
1. Using our website
We aim to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date. However, products, menus, prices, availability and opening hours may change.
The photographs, text and other content on our website belong to Quince or their respective owners and must not be reproduced commercially without permission.
2. Online orders
Our online shop offers a changing selection of products, which may include preserves, books, merchandise, seasonal goods and cakes.
Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation email.
All orders are subject to availability. If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will contact you and arrange a refund.
Product descriptions, prices and applicable delivery charges will be shown before you complete your purchase.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling and include applicable VAT.
Payment is taken securely through Square.
Any delivery charges will be clearly displayed before checkout.
4. Delivery and collection
Available delivery and collection options, costs and estimated times will be shown when you order.
Please ensure that the contact and delivery details you provide are accurate.
If there is a problem with your order or delivery, please contact us at hello@quincebakery.co.uk.
5. Cancellations and returns
Non-perishable products
For eligible non-perishable goods purchased online, you can cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason.
To cancel, email us at hello@quincebakery.co.uk with your name and order number. You then have 14 days from telling us to send the goods back.
Unless we’ve agreed otherwise, you pay the cost of returning the goods. Please return them unused and in their original condition. If an item comes back damaged or used more than you’d need to check it, we may reduce your refund.
We will refund the price you paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or of you showing us proof you’ve sent them, if sooner). If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we will refund only the standard delivery cost. Refunds go back to your original payment method.
Perishable and made-to-order products
Fresh cakes, bakes and other perishable food can’t be returned once delivered or collected, because they spoil quickly. The same applies to cakes and other items made or personalised to your order. If there are any arrangements for changing or cancelling these orders, we will explain them when you order.
Faulty or incorrect products
This doesn’t affect your legal rights. If something arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect or not as described, contact us as soon as possible. We will put it right with a replacement or a refund, and we’ll cover any return costs.
6. Cakes and catering
Cake and catering orders may be subject to additional arrangements concerning lead times, collection, delivery, changes and cancellations.
These will be explained when an order is placed or confirmed.
7. Food allergies and ingredients
Our kitchen handles allergens, so we can’t guarantee any product is free from them.
Please check the allergen information provided for each food product and contact us before ordering if you have any questions about ingredients or allergies.
Where food is sold online, we will provide the legally required allergen information before purchase and when the food is supplied.
8. Events and bookings
Where we offer events or other bookable experiences, any specific booking, payment or cancellation conditions will be communicated before purchase.
9. Our responsibility to you
If something goes wrong because we haven’t kept to these terms or taken proper care, we’ll take responsibility for losses you could reasonably have expected to follow. We’re not responsible for losses we couldn’t have foreseen, or for losses to a business.
Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights or our responsibilities where the law doesn’t allow it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in place when you order applies to that order.
